Best New Product at Coffee Fest Atlantic City
At its debut at Coffee Fest Atlantic City,
June 2003, My Coffee Cup LLC took first prize as Best New Product for its
Smart Café Hot Cafetiere. This innovative French press was created by
European designer Sebastian Conran for the manufacturer, William Levene
Ltd., UK.
The Smart Café Hot Cafetiere ensures a
perfect cup of coffee with less mess than a traditional French press due to
its unique “coffee capture” system. The “coffee capture” system is a plastic
cup that enables the user to measure the proper amount of coffee for
brewing. The “coffee capture” system also features a snap mechanism so when
the screen is plunged, the majority of coffee grounds are locked into the
“coffee capture”, thus ending the brewing process and allowing for
quick clean-up. In addition, the Smart Café Hot Cafetiere features a
dual wall to keep the brewed coffee hot for up to two hours. This
dual wall is constructed of durable plastic on the outside and glass on the
inside.
The Smart Café Hot Cafetiere is now
available in 8 and 12-cup sizes.
Also on this website you can see the Select
and Classic models in three-, eight- and 12-cup sizes. All models feature
the “coffee capture” system and are also excellent for brewing tea.Also
introduced at the show was the Smart Café Hot Tea Pot. This product
brews eight cups and also features a dual wall to keep loose-leaf or
bagged tea hot for up to two
hours.
